My name is John Brooke Prentis IV (JBPIV!), in 1991 I immigrated to Illinois from St. Louis, MO.  In '92, I was turned  on to the radio station WXRT in Chicago, where I heard a song that immediately captured my attention.  I had to know more.  That song was 'Lack Luster' by Poi dog Pondering.  I was hooked, I needed more.  Unfortuantely my job (and the fact that almost all the shows would sell out in minutes)  kept me from seeing PdP live until July of 1999.  Since then I have devoted a large part of my life to this band.  I began recording them in November of 2000 at The House of Blues in Chicago.  My archive now has over 150 recordings dating back to 1990 and covering up till this day.  This is my hobby.  Keeping archives through pictures and recordings of Poi dog Pondering. I hope you enjoy this site, it is constantly being updated.  I have recently begun adding LIVE recordings to stream or download, and now have over 70 songs,  feel free to browse. Everything contained on this site has the approval of the artists!  Thank You, Frank et al!! I enjoy doing this and want to share my passion with all who care to take some time to look and listen.  If you see me at a show come up and say "Hi", I'm the one with the '8fatfat8' hat on, usually up front.
