Welcome to my hobby, the Un-official Archives of Poi dog Pondering, 8fatfat8, Frank Orrall, The Lost Souls of The Great Lakes, and other bands relating to PdP. I first heard Poi dog Pondering in 1991 on WXRT when I moved to northern Illinois from St. Louis, and immediately knew that I liked this band.  Unfortunately it would take 8 years to finally see this band perform live.  My first performance was at 'The Taste of Randolph Street' in July of 1999.  I will never forget that day! Since that day I have seen Poi numerous times from Austin, TX to New York City to San Francisco, CA.  I started to record the band in November of 2000 when they performed at The House of Blues in Chicago, and the rest as they say is history.  I was also introduced to a side project of Frank Orrall in 1999 called 8fatfat8.  Live House Music at The Gaijjin Hotel in Chicago.  My Sundays were never the same.  And then other Poi related  projects came: Carla Prather, Deep Blue Field (formerly Apsaras Dreaming), Lost Souls of The Great Lakes, Mr. Egg Germ, J Davis Trio, and on and on... I Love this band and know you will too, so my focus here is to get as many people out there to hear them.  Please do your part to spread the music around!  I do not want to keep them to myself (as tempting as that may be!)
